I was reading an article about the recent Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG) Data Center Energy Summit, in San Francisco, engineers and data center pros gathered to study 11 case studies on energy efficiency.   • For any containment strategy to work there needs to be sufficient cool air in the cold aisle. check out www.adaptivcool/hotspotr.html for an effective solution to supply the right amount of cool air in the cold aisles regardless of underfloor obstructions etc.
  • I have a patent pending system that contains cold air and segregates hot air using air curtains.The hot air is not exhausted because that requires fresh air and the costs for heating/cooling/humidification/dehumidification of the fresh air.I use large air to air heat exchangers with evaporative and dry cooling capability. my blog on the dcj contains a link to drawings and schematics.take a look,I would appreciate feedback
