Well actually I believe that there are, and although the data center is a highly complex environment, these measures are simultaneously useful and applicable.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I refer you to my earlier blog entry &lt;a href="http://www.thehotaisle.com/2008/05/15/how-efficient-is-my-data-center/" rel="nofollow"&gt;http://www.thehotaisle.com/2008/05/15/how-effic...&lt;/a&gt; that picks up on work done by the Green Grid &lt;a href="http://www.thegreengrid.org" rel="nofollow"&gt;http://www.thegreengrid.org&lt;/a&gt; on PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness and DCiE (Data Center infrastructure Effectiveness) and finally CPE (Compute Power Efficiency).&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The BCS article referred to in this article takes some of that work to a higher level of practicality.
